Beta results and other thoughts
Well, as we figured it would be, the beta (pregnancy) test was negative.
I am still having issues with my lining, so I’ll have to call the Dr.s office in the morning to make sure he still wants me to begin treatment. If so I start the Clomid tomorrow which I HATED being on. I was mean. I couldn’t stop myself though… Like PMS (only about 10X worse) when you know you just snapped at someone, but you didn’t really mean to. Not to mention the excess estrogen in your system makes you have menopause symptoms like hot flashes and night sweats (IN JULY!). So I am sorry in advance for any moodiness I might have (although Josh will probably have to bear the brunt of it).
So I take Clomid alone Thursday and Friday. Then, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday I take Clomid and the Gonal-F shots. Tuesday I Just take a Gonal-F shot. Wednesday Morning at 7:15 I go back to the Dr. to see how things are going. I am expecting about another 5-7 days of shots after that. Then I take the Ovidrel shot to make me Ovulate. The next day (the shot takes 36 hours to work) Josh and I will go back to the Dr. and get inseminated. Then a week later I’ll have blood drawn and a week after that we’ll find out if it works.
Confused? I think I have finally got it straight. Alright my laundry needs folded… more later!
What a wonderful day!
I had a Dr.’s appointment today. My follicles have grown to 19mm each on my left side and 17mm on my right. My post-coital test came back really great. I had 20 sperm per section. The average is 4 sperm so I was very pleased with that. So I take my final dose of stims for this cycle tonight and nothing tomorrow. Then on Sunday I take my HCG shot. That will release my eggs. I am so so so excited. Dr. Chin said he couldn’t have hoped for a better response. Oh, and my uterine lining is still at 10mm which is very good. I go in a week from Tuesday to get blood drawn to make sure I ovulated. And If I don’t feel crampy, bloaty and sick then I need to take another HCG shot to maintain a possible pregnancy. Keep your fingers crossed everyone… send me “sticky” vibes!
