He didn’t find a sac. Either I have an ectopic (pregnancy outside the uterus), or I miscarried and my body didn’t expel it because of my progesterone supplements. We’ll find out when we get my blood work back today. I thought all chance of an ectopic was ruled out, but apparently not. If it is ectopic I’ll go on Chemo drugs (methotrexate) to hinder any rapid cellular growth and that should remove it. it could never have formed properly outside the uterus, and can be deadly to me so it has to be removed. we’ll see if it is implanted in my tube, and if there is any scarring before trying again. If it is ectopic my chance of having another ectopic is raised from 2% to 15%. Depending on the scarring in my tube we may not be able to keep trying to have children.

The other option is that I miscarried and my body will remove it when I stop my progesterone. Dr. Chin thinks this is the case, but prepared me for either option. There is a VERY VERY VERY small chance that there is a normal fetus, but it’s still the third option.
