Forbes Magazine just put out it's Wealthiest Women in Entertainment list. Harry Potter author, JK Rowling, came in #2 on the list whose net worth is $1 billion. Number one on the list was Oprah. No surprise there.
When Josh and I lived in Phoenix we had a DVR (digital video recorder) through the cable company. Then, because we missed it so much we decided to get a TiVo and a one year service contract. It just so happened that Best Buy had TiVos for free (when buying a one year service contract) so we bought one. I have to say that a TiVo brand is by FAR better than a regular DVR.
The TiVo can connect to anything on our home network, and we can transfer the shows we record to other devices. Not only that, we can also get traffic reports, see movie theatre listings and reviews, buy movie tickets, play mp3s off of our home computers, play games, shop, listen to our favorite podcasts, and all of that is on top of being able to pause, fast-forward and record our favorite tv shows. It is such a great tool.
I hope I never have to be asked to go without my TiVo. Oh, and if anyone else has a TiVo let me know because our TiVos could talk to one another and share shows.
I have recently added the functionality to listen to some internet radio through our website. You'll need Winamp, iTunes or Windows Media Player (not preferrable) available to listen to the stream. Located on the right-hand side of the menus you will find the status of the station. It'll let you know whether we're "Off-air" or "On-air", as well as, let you know what is currently playing. More information about how it works can be found here or you can just click on the bold song title and artist link and start listening.
I hope the new year is going well for all of you. We had a great time New Year's Eve playing "In A Pickle" and "Fact or Crap" with Cassie and Benjamin Spain. I should buy "In A Pickle" as it is totally a "Mandy game". LOL. However it is totally not a Josh game. He has to fight every card I lay down … oh men.
